COVID-19 Update

Friends of Home Base,

We hope you and your families are staying safe and in good spirits and we appreciate your patience and understanding during this uncertain time. Along with our city officials, we have been closely monitoring the situation regarding this year’s planned Run to Home Base on July 11th, 2020.

With the health of our runners, walkers, volunteers and support staff at the forefront of our concerns, we have decided to postpone the Run to Home Base to a future date in the Fall of 2020. We hope to announce the new date for the Run as soon as Major League Baseball releases the schedule for the 2020 baseball season.

Rest assured that the minimum fundraising deadline will be extended accordingly and announced once we know the new event date. The funds raised annually from the Run to Home Base are needed now more than ever as feelings of anxiety, stress, fear, isolation and other difficult emotions increase within our Veteran population during the coronavirus pandemic. In response, Home Base has been busier than ever, providing much needed mental health care and support to our military community and those on the front lines.

If you haven’t already, sign up this month using MAY20 promo code for $5 off your registration fee in honor of May being Military Appreciation Month!

While you and your families are staying healthy and motivated at home, don’t forget to check out Home Base’s Operation Health@Home for daily at-home workouts, healthy recipes, mindfulness exercises and mental health tips. Also, if you have little ones in the house, the Red Sox launched Home Fun with various games and activities!

As always, thank you for your continued support of Home Base and our mission.
