PTSD Awareness Month Toolkit
June is National PTSD Awareness Month. Did you know that one in three Veterans return home with an invisible wound, like Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)? These mental health injuries can lead to an increased rate of suicide and the sobering statistic that 20 Veterans take their own lives each day. We’re asking for your help.
Please consider asking your network of friends, family and co-workers for a $20 donation to your Run to Home Base fundraising page, to represent the 20 Veterans who take their own lives each day.
Help us spread awareness about the symptoms and effects of PTSD, in hopes of breaking the stigma for those who may be suffering and raise funds so that Home Base can continue to provide the care they need and deserve. We’ve created some tools and images for you to share with your networks via social media or email.
